Fickle-Zen KAL: Final update

It’s done. Another lace shawl has been made, blocked, worn, commented on – very positively, I might add. Except for that colleague who felt the need to point out that purple is regarded as the colour of sexual frustration. I, personally, tend towards these notions.

Clearly the leopard fur on my feet just underlines the royalty expressed by purple. Ahem.

Be that as it may, this was a highly enjoyable project. After some nail-biting when the yarn took inordinately long to arrive (due to a mix up in house numbers, it turned out), life appeared to conspire against me.

Work just went crazy, and I had a lot less time (or brains, for that matter, after loooooong days) to knit this baby.

The pattern was very well written, the yarn a dream to work with, and eventually I had  a free Sunday afternoon to finish it.

Thank you, Michelle and Roxanne, for a great KAL!

Love all things vintage, especially knitting from the victorian era through to the swinging twenties.
